At TenderNest Childcare, we provide a teacher-guided, Montessori-inspired home daycare where every child’s curiosity is encouraged and celebrated. Our safe, nurturing home environment in Rancho Bernardo serves families from Poway and the greater San Diego area, offering care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
By following the Montessori Method, we help children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
We place special emphasis on natural, home-cooked meals and daily outdoor play, giving children the energy and focus they need for healthy physical, intellectual, and emotional growth.

Arlette Khoury, founder and director of TenderNest Childcare, is a Montessori-certified educator with over 20 years of experience nurturing and guiding children in their most formative years.
Arlette’s background combines child development expertise with a compassionate, family-centered approach. Her continued dedication has earned the trust of countless families throughout Rancho Bernardo and Poway.

The Montessori Method is a scientifically-based, child-centered approach that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and lifelong learning.
Two main principals are at the core of the Montessori Method: first, that children are to be respected; second, that children have an innate curiosity and love of learning, and are able to initiate their own education.
Montessori educators have developed hands-on materials and guided activities that allow children to explore language, math, science, and practical life skills through experience and self-direction.
